PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver information contents suitable to Web browser environment for the same URL access by providing a means which selects information contents according to information on a Web browser that a user uses. SOLUTION: The means which selects information contents according to information on the Web browser that the user uses is provided. In this system, a Web browser kind decision part 121 in a CGI program 120 decides the kind of a Web browser which can be obtained by the interface of CGI and moves the control to a retrieval request part 122. The retrieval request part 122 requests a data base server 400 to perform retrieval by using the kind of the browser as a parameter. A data base decision part 411 selects a data base 420 according to the browser kind and performs retrieval. The obtained retrieval result is displayed at a display part 312 in a Web terminal 300 through a retrieval result transfer part 113 in a WWW server 100.
