The invention concerns a device for in-line filtering (10) of a liquid metal for obtaining a very good filtering of any liquid metal whatever its melting point using only a single installation, comprising a treating chamber (11) made of refractory material provided with an input runner (12) for the metal liquid to be filtered, an element for cleaning (16) said metal, an element for degassing (17) said cleaned metal. The degassed metal is injected under pressure with an injection pump (18) into a porous filtering element (19) tangentially to said element surface for cleaning said surface while simultaneously filtering the metal. Under the effect of the pressure applied, part of the degassed metal passes through the filtering element (19) arranged in a chamber (20) and the filtering metal is evacuated through an output runner (21) provided in the chamber. The other part of the unfiltered degassed metal and containing all the impurities is re-introduced at high speed in the treating chamber (11) through a conduit (22) provided with means regulating flow rate and pressure (23). |
