PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver which acquires detailed program information without interrupting a program that is currently viewed. SOLUTION: This digital broadcasting receiver receives digital broadcasting in which detailed program information is transmitted in at least one frequency band among plural frequency bands that belong to a horizontally polarized wave and also detailed program information is transmitted in at least one frequency band among plural frequency bands that belong to a vertically polarized wave. In such a case, it is provided with a tuning circuit 3 which respectively and simultaneously tunes in to both a frequency band corresponding to a channel designated by a user and a frequency band which is for acquiring the detailed program information to a receiving signal of a polarized wave in which program presentation information of a channel designated by the user between the horizontally and the vertically polarized wave.
