PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a water supply facility in a atomic power station by preventing the generation of a water hammer phenomenon at the restart of pumps after all pumps stopped. SOLUTION: In the water supply facility for supplying water to reactor installation components by way of a pumps 3 and 4 sucking supply water via a suction pump 5, a pump discharge pipe 6, check valve 11, a supply water piping 7 and branch piping 8, water fall in a branch pipe 8 is obstructed by a check valve 10 and reverse flow from lower branch 9 to outside the pipe is eliminated. By filling up the pipes 7, 8 and 9 with water even after the pumps stop and the generation of water hammer phenomenon at the actuation of pumps is prevented and the damage of the water supply facility due to a water hammer phenomenon is reduced.
