PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electrical connection in a lamp device in which a no-base lamp is received in a holder, i.e., a socket, with external lead wires extending from the lamp as connecting terminals, by flattening these lead wires. SOLUTION: This lighting system 8 is provided with a lamp device 1A which comprise a no-base lamp 6, a holder 2, and external connecting terminals 66. The lamp 6 comprises a bulb 61, a light emitting source sealingly provided within the bulb 61, and lead wires 63 extracted from a sealed part 62 in its end part. The holder 2, which is made of an electric insulating material, receives and holds the sealed part 62 of the lamp 6. The external connecting terminals 66, which are flat-shaped parts of the lead wires 63 extracted from the sealed part 62 of the lamp 6, are provided on a wall of the holder 2.
