PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce the image of a phosphor pattern throughout the inside surface of a panel in a cathode-ray tube panel of which image display screen is formed into a flat surface (flat panel). SOLUTION: This inspection device is provided with an image introducing camera to introduce the image of a phosphor pattern formed on the inside surface 4 of a cathode-ray tube panel 1 through an image pickup lens 5 by arranging the image pickup lens 5 in a form opposite to the inside surface 4 of the cathode-ray tube panel 1 composed of a panel body 2 and a panel peripheral wall part 3 projecting from the outside peripheral part of the panel body 2 along a panel axis direction Z. In this case, the focal length Lf of the image pickup lens 5 in the image introducing camera is set longer than the projecting length Ls of the panel peripheral wall part 3 by using the inside surface 4 of the cathode-ray tube panel 1 as a reference.
