PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube electron gun that can uniformize the shape of a beam spot of an electron beam at the right and left ends of a phosphor screen as much as possible and can correct both a quadrupole lens component and a convergent lens component. SOLUTION: This electron gun 10 is composed by providing electrodes 52R, 52G, 52B divided corresponding to electron beams R, G, B for the respective colors generated from multiple negative electrodes, for instance, three electrodes KR, KG, KB arranged in an inline form. In this case, voltages Ef2R, Ef2G, Ef2B which are different from one another are applied to the respective electrodes 52R, 52G, 52B of the divided electrode, respectively.
