PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method of a cleaning tape and a cleaning disk so that a cleaning layer containing a magnetic powder and an abrasive to be uniformly dispersed and sufficient to obtain good electromagnetic conversion characteristics and cleaning effect can be formed, and to obtain good electromagnetic conversion characteristics and cleaning effect. SOLUTION: The producing method of a cleaning tape/cleaning disk includes processes to prepare a magnetic coating material containing at least a magnetic powder and an abrasive and to apply the prepared magnetic coating material on a non-magnetic supporting body to form a cleaning layer. In this method, the process to prepare the magnetic coating material includes a process to prepare an abrasive-dispersed liquid containing an abrasive, a process to prepare a magnetic powder-dispersed liquid containing an magnetic powder, and a process to mix and disperse the abrasive-dispersed liquid and the magnetic powder- dispersed liquid which are separately prepared.
