PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility of data structure by providing the data base retrieving device with a function enabling a user himself (or herself) to set up relation and hierarchy among keywords. SOLUTION: Plural retrieving conditions are inputted from a client terminal 3-1 connected to a network, a relational data group is retrieved from a data base server 1 connected to the network and the retrieved result is supplied to the terminal 3-1. The server 1 includes a retrieving condition analyzing means 7 for converting received retrieving conditions into a format allowed to be decoded by a data storage means, a retrieving condition dividing means 8 for dividing the analyzed retrieving conditions into a main condition, a slave condition and inter-condition relation and a retrieving condition storing means 9 for storing the analyzed retrieving conditions, extracts relational conditions out of the analyzed retrieving conditions from the means 9, retrieves data based on the inputted retrieving conditions and the extracted relational data and transmits retrieved data to a user terminal.
