PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of short-circuit of the output and electrical breakdown by recovering a latched circuit to a normal condition by resetting the latched circuit with a reset circuit, when the latched circuit is turned off from on with a control pulse during the operation of latched circuit, which is forcibly stopped if the detected current value of a switched circuit or an output circuit exceeds a predetermined value. SOLUTION: An analog signal AS1 of an output voltage Vo of an output 50 is fetched by a digital controller 70, it is then converted into a digital signal DS1 by an A/D converter 721 and is made to be stored temporarily in a data memory 714. An analog signal AS2 of an inductor current IL obtained by an inductor current detecting circuit 60 is fetched by the digital controller 70 and is then converted into a digital signal DS2 in the A/D converter 722 and is temporarily stored in the data memory 715. CPU 711 calculates a command value to decide the on-off time for the main switch 42 of a switching circuit 40 and is then fetched in a pulse generator 73. Thereby, an output voltage Vo and an inductor current IL of the output circuit 50 are controlled by a CPU 711.
