PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the heat transfer efficiency to a casing from a stator core at a desired level without forming any large gap between the casing and stator core even when the temperature rises due to a driven motor. SOLUTION: In a very narrow gap 21 between the main body 3 of a casing and a stator core 7, a metal 23 having a low melting point of about 0 deg.C and 150 deg.C is interposed. The metal 23 is enclosed in the gap 21 in a molten liquid state before a cover 5 is attached to the main body 3. The heat generated from a stator coil 9 is transmitted to the main body 3 through the metal 23 and, as a result, a motor is cooled. Since the metal 23 is melted into a liquid state by the heat generated from the stator coil 9, no gap is formed between the main body 3 and stator core 7 and the heat transmission to the main body 3 from the stator core 7 is efficiently made, because no large gap is formed between the main body 3 and core 7 even when the coefficient of thermal expansion of the core 7 is largely different from that of the main body 3.
