The friction clutch (10) of a type comprises a rear cover (14) and front pressure plate (30) causing cover rotation, with axial movement (X-X) between the clutch engaged and disengaged positions. The cover (14) is subject to the action of an elastic engaging-element (12). The element engages the support zone (28) formed on the regulating ring (36) attached to the ramp unit (44) which is positioned axially between the clutch mechanism and the pressure plate (30).
