The container has two pairs of cross-struts (2,3,2'3') between the walls (1A,1F) and near its edges, on each side. The lower extremities of these struts being rotatably pivotable on the lower end of the walls and the upper extremities of these struts sliding in the vertical slides (6A,6F;6'A,6'F) fixed on the walls. There is a bracing spar (9) which doubles as a handle, and a tab (10) allows the box to be stacked upon other similar boxes. The bottom of the container has a movable base, with front and rear walls having vertical slides, this base sliding between the two parallel slides to be movable between a disengaged position for freeing the bottom, and an engaged position for fixing the bottom to the container.
