PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for searching objective image most suitable for such case that an objective image appears in a limited specific range, within images taken by a CCD camera. SOLUTION: A tire wheel 10 is taken-in with a CCD camera 2 before operation is started, after a specific position where an objective image appears is stored on a screen of a display part the tire wheel 10 is positioned, and, when the CCD camera 2 reaches a specified position on the tire wheel, the pixel positioned along the straight line connecting between the search starting position and the specific position where a pre-stored objective image appears is scanned to judge presence of the objective image, thus detecting position of the objective image. When the position where an objective image appears is limited in a specific range such as the case for detecting the position of a fitting hole 10a of the tire wheel 10, the position of objective image is detected very quickly. The position of objective image can be detected easily while avoiding an obstacle. |
