PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, light-weight, and low-cost optical pick-up and optical disk device capable of recording and reproducing two kinds of an optical disk differing in wavelength with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This device comprises light sources 22, 32 having a 1st- and 2nd light emitting elements for emitting light beams differing in wavelength from each other, light-focusing means 25, 35 for irradiating with the light beams from the light sources so that they are focused on a signal recording surface of an optical disk driven to rotate, and photo-detectors 27, 37 which have respective light receiving parts corresponding to the light beams from each light emitting element and on which the light beams returning from the signal recording surface of the optical disk is made incident, and the two light emitting elements are driven by a single driving circuit 40, which changes over its outputs according to each light emitting element. |
