PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an electric power converter with a simple means if a system has power failure. SOLUTION: This method is a method for starting an electronic power converter 11 which supplies electric power to a load 4 while charging and discharging the secondary battery 1 by linking a secondary battery 1 capable of charging and discharging and a system power source 2 with each other. In case of power failure in a system, an on-vehicle battery power source 16 is externally connected to a control circuit 12 of the electronic power converter 11 as an auxiliary power source. The on-vehicle battery power source 16 supplies electric power to the control circuit 12 to start the electronic power converter 11. After it starts, the on-vehicle battery power source 16 is disconnected, and electric power is supplied to the control circuit 12 by AC output of the electronic power converter 11 through the secondary battery 1. |
