PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade the interrupting capacity even in a small-sized circuit breaker, and prevent the disconnection of a flexible conductor connected to a movable contact. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker is provided with a movable contact 46 driven by a switching mechanism 69, a flexible conductor 51 having one end connected to the movable contact 46 and the other end conducted to a terminal device, and a dear ion grid type arc extinguishing device 52 situated in the middle between the movable contact 46 and the terminal device and arranged adjacent to the flexible conductor 51. A part of the flexible conductor 51 is electrically brought into contact with the upper surface of a first deion grid 52a of the arc extinguishing device 52 to protect the flexible conductor 51, and the arc generated between the movable contact 46 and the fixed contact 44 is transmitted to the deion grid 52a to suppress the damage to contacts 45, 47. |
