PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient and continuous ice making by providing a jacket surrounding the diffuser of an ejector for evacuating an ice heat storage tank and circulating water through the jacket thereby ensuring a mixture steam conduction area effectively in the diffuser. SOLUTION: City water is introduced from a tube t1 into a jacket 32 surrounding the diffuser 29 in an ejector 25 and the water passed through the jacket 32 is introduced through a tube 12 to a condenser 26. Steam being delivered from the ejector 25 is condensed with water flowing through a water passage 36 in the condenser 26. At the time of ice making, driving steam generated from a steam generator 24 is fed from a nozzle 28 to the diffuser 29 at supersonic velocity in order to suck the air and steam in an ice heat storage tank 22. The ice heat storage tank 22 is placed under vacuum and a part of water therein is evaporated at a temperature close to ice temperature. Ice is made by cooling the water itself with latent heat of a part of evaporated water.
