PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a frequency band without decreasing the transmission rate. SOLUTION: A mobile station monitors a transmission buffer and sends a line request signal 18 to a base station through a control line on the occurrence of transmission data, the base station decides an idle communication line, informs the mobile station of a line assignment signal 19 via the control line, and the mobile station and the base station make data transmission reception through an assigned communication line. When transmission data and reception data are lost respectively in the mobile station and the base station, timers 21, 22 are set respectively and when data are produced before the expiration of the timers, the timers 21, 22 are reset to continue communication and when the expiration of the timers takes place, a communication channel is automonously released.
