PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing procedures at the time of connection with an opposite terminal by using data areas other than FAS and BAS as the storage area for particular control information between terminals and exchanging information necessary for a connection processing procedure. SOLUTION: A media multiplexing/decoding part 106 multiplexes data inputted from a video coding/decoding part 102, an audio coding/decoding part 104 and an end-end signal controlling part 105, produces an H221 frame regulated by an ITU-T recommendation H221 and transmits it to a line 110 in transmission processing. Control information that is exchanged with the part 105 is mapped into a FAS and a BAS in the H221 frame and the other areas on the frame are used for communication of the other media data. Then, the part 106 maps a part of control information transferred from the part 105 at the time of connection processing into a frame area except the FAS and BAS. |
