摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption during non-charging period and also enable control of standby power by charging a battery through electromagnetic coupling and also maintaining the inductance of a charging primary coil irrespective of a loaded condition of the charging secondary side. SOLUTION: A charging system 10 for an electric bicycle comprises a charging primary device 32 for outputting magnetic energy and a charging secondary device 34 for magnetically coupling with the charging primary device 32 and supplying magnetic energy received from the charging primary device 32 to a battery 28 after conversion to charging current. Moreover an air gap coil 60 of the charging secondary device 34 is loaded to the electric bicycle and a coil 40 with the core of the charging primary device 32 being inserted into the air gap coil 60. Thereby, both coils 40 and 60 are magnetically coupled to charge the battery by supplying charging current to the battery 28.</p>
