PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a protective cover from getting caught in an electric wire and to easily mount it in the prescribed position, by unleveling an electric wire lead-in part of a protective cover covering an electric wire portion connected to an electrical terminal. SOLUTION: When an electrical terminal 13b of a spark plug 13, etc., is inserted into an element wire 18a of an electric wire 18 to be connected, a convex part 20a of the protective cover 20 is fitted into a concave part 13c of the spark plug 13, and an inner surface of an electric wire lead-in part 20b is slidably fitted with an outer surface of a coating part 18b of the electric wire 18, thereby infiltration of water and dust is prevented. The inner surface of the electric wire lead-in part 20b is provided with regular and irregular dotted bosses. Preferably, projected bars 20c and grooves 20d parallel to the axis direction of the electric wire 18 are alternately provided, to simplify die-cut in the time of forming. When the electric wire 18 is led in the electric wire lead-in part 20b made of an elastic material such as synthetic rubber, etc., the outer surface of the coating part 18b is contacted only to the projected bars 20c to lessen the contacting area, which prevents the two from sucking at each other like suckers, therefore prevents lowering of the working efficiency. While, lowering of the infiltration preventing effect is also prevented by lessening the depth of the grooves 20d.
