PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make maintenance efficient and to lighten the burden on an operator by loading a recording medium where a repairing operation procedure for a device out of order is recorded in a portable terminal and displaying the repairing operation procedure on the terminal when repairing operation is performed. SOLUTION: When an arbitrary device gets out of order and a maintenance operator loads a corresponding data card 3 in the portable information terminal 2, the portable information terminal 2 displays the entire drawing of the faulty device 1, an enlarged drawing of a display panel, and its support menu. Then the maintenance operator inputs fault display contents (self-diagnostic result) of the faulty device 1 to the portable information terminal 2 according to the display state of the display panel of the portable information terminal 2, the portable information terminal 2 changes the image of the display panel of the fault device 1 according to the inputted fault display contents and displays the repairing procedure for repairing the fault according to a program recorded on the data card 3. The maintenance operator performs repairing following the displayed procedure.
