PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact insulator type terminal in a highly reliable insulator press fit structure in which the mechanical working of a case can be easily attained, and productivity in high volume can be made satisfactory. SOLUTION: Only a press fit part 5a is formed in an insulator 5, and a step-shaped opening 10 is integrally formed at a top plate 9 of the case by drawing. Then, a packing 11 is mounted on this step-shaped part, and the press fit part 5a of the insulator 4 is pressurized and press-fit into a thick part 9c of a disc part 9b of the opening 10 so that the insulator 5 and the top plate 9 can be integrally mounted and fixed. Thus, an insulator type terminal in a press fit type for obtaining a stable leakage preventing function can be obtained at low cost.
