PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the protrusion of a hot melt type wax contaminating the terminals of an electric signal generation monitor and to make connection secure and sure by subjecting the terminals of the electric signal generation monitor to a pretreatment to irradiate the terminals with an excimer laser, then connecting the terminals to the terminals of flexible circuit patterns by wire bonding. SOLUTION: A magnetic head 1 is adhered and fixed to a processing jig 3 by the hot melt type wax 2 and the flexible circuit patterns 4 are stuck to the processing jig 3 by double coated adhesive tapes 5. At this time, the protruding hot melt type wax 2a adheres to the terminals 6 of the electric signal generation monitor which is built into the magnetic head 1 and is used to electrically detect the processing size of the magnetic head 1. The terminals 6 and the terminals 4a of the patterns 4 are, thereupon, irradiated with the excimer laser before the connection thereof by wire bonding, by which the wax 2a sticking to the terminals 6a is photochemically decomposed and removed.
