PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce output processing burden at the time of display or printing and to output an edited graphic at high speed by limiting the output of a section overlapped with the inside of a non-output area in a selectively instructed graphic when it is discriminated by a discriminating means the area of the selectively instructed graphic is overlapped with the inside of the non-output area. SOLUTION: This method has a non-output area setting process for setting a range not to output any graphic to a graphic editing area as the non-output area. It is discriminated whether the area of the selectively instructed graphic is overlapped with the inside of the non-output area set by the non-output area setting process or not (S5). Since this method has an output limiting process (S6 and S9) for limiting the output of the section overlapped with the inside of the non-output area in the selectively instructed graphic when it is discriminated by the discriminating means the area of the selectively instructed graphic is overlapped with the inside of the non-output area, in the case of plotting a graphic in which graphics are mutually related, any unwanted line can not be partially outputted.
