PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission efficiency of driving force and to reduce a size by providing a motor section for driving a traveling section for allowing the magnetic tape of a magnetic tape housing section to travel with a rotation transmission member in order to transmit the rotation of the motor directly to another member in such a manner that this member directly transmits the rotation of the motor to the magnetic tape traveling section. SOLUTION: A cartridge C allows the magnetic tape T wound on reels 39, 30 housing the tape to travel by a drive roller 23 and an endless elastic belt 33 between the drive roller and corner rollers 24, 25. A pack 41 consisting of rubber material disposed in the motor M rotates together with a rotor R and rotates by being directly pressed with the drive roller 23. The drive roller 23 and a small-diameter part 23a are then rotationally driven. Then, the belt 334 sent to D1, D2 directions by the small-diameter part 23a and the drive roller 23 send the magnetic tape T to S1, S2 directions. As a result, the back 41 directly rotates the drive roller 23. The transmission loss of the driving force of the motor M is thus reduced and the size reduction is made possible.
