PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing which has acid resistance and alkali resistance, reduces expansion and contraction differences among various kinds of solvents, and has good separation balance for analyzing a number of tested materials by making water suspension polymerizing compounds represented by plural specified formulas within the designated region of mol ratio. SOLUTION: As a compound, having at least two groups expressed by the formula I in one molecule, polyacrylic ester-polymethacrylic ester of polyhydric alcohol or the like is preferred. The ethylene glycols of a compound expressed by the formula II is necessary for giving hydrophilicity to a packing. An aliphatic chain of a compound expressed by the formula III is necessary for giving a separation function of reverse- phase partition, and acrylic ester of aliphatic alcohol with carbon number of 1-5 can be cited. The components of each formula are water suspension-polymerized in the presence of water-insoluble or slightly soluble organic solvent to be made into cross- linking polymerized particle. The obtained spherical particles with a particle diameter of 1-200μm are classified as need to be packed as a packing in a column, which can be used as reverse-phase partition chromatography column.
