PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for preventing the influence of warpage by the heat generation of a PDP(plasma display panel) of an optical filter consisting of a plastic substrate. SOLUTION: An optical filter 11 of a display device 10 using the PDP 12 is previously warped to a projecting shape toward a PDP side and is installed to the front surface of the display surface of the PDP 12. The plastic substrate formed by providing the one surface with the warpage of the projecting shape in a surface direction at the time of manufacture of a plastic plate is usable for this purpose. The optical filter may otherwise be obtd. by using a plastic blank formed to a flat plate, inserting the blank into molds under heating and weighting the molds, thereby molding the blank.
