Ion-sensitive membrane layers are produced on conductive electrodes or on substrates with electrodes by coating at least part of the electrode with a combination of prepolymer(s) and ion-sensitive filler(s) (dispersed or homogeneously dissolved) by means of a printing or dispensing technique and then polymerizing the combination.
