The switching cabinet has a cabinet body and a door (10) that is linked to the body and is fitted with one or more units, e.g. with a refrigeration unit. A supporting device (30) attached to the cabinet door supports the door with respect to the floor when in the open position. The supporting device can pivot or slide into a rest position when the door is closed.
