<p>A free address skipping count can be implemented and part of a screen can be scrolled by providing a register for storing a display address of a fixed display area, a register for storing an address in a scroll region and a register for storing an address at which scrolling is started and by setting as required addresses stored in the above registers in a counter for counting a display address in a display RAM (131). This method can drastically reduce the number of accesses to MPU (11) and power consumption compared with a case where data in the display RAM (131) is rewritten before scrolling, and can prevent the disclosure of data being scrolled when MPU (11) is interrupted during scrolling.</p> |
