DEVICE FOR IMPROVING THE SECURITY OF AIRCRAFT IN VISUAL FLIGHT REGIME

Measurements of the aircraft (10) instantaneous position and speed are included in co-operation messages regularly broadcast by radio to other aircraft (10'). The device wherewith the aircraft, operating in visual flight, is equipped, analyses the data contained in the co-operation messages which it receives from other aircraft and its own trajectory to identify possible risks of collision. Said possible risks of collision are signalled to the pilot, advantageously in voice form, in the messages identifying the direction wherein the other aircraft is visible and estimate of the time lapse remaining until possible collision occurs.
