<p>An information-recording medium and an information reproducing apparatus enabling a large amount of information to be recorded are disclosed. A preformatted track of pits (202) is provided on an extension of the boundary between a depression (103) and a projection (104), and has information about the sectors on both sides of the boundary. An adjusting track of pits (201) is provided before the preformatted track of pits (202) in the direction of travel of light for reproducing information recorded on the information-recording medium. The information reproducing apparatus adjusts the amplification factor so that the level of the signal from the adjusting track of pits (201) may be a reference level for correctly reproducing information and correctly reproduces information which the preformatted track of pits (202) has with this amplification factor.</p> |
