<p>A hollow fiber membrane for increasing gas exchange between two fluids wherein one of the fluids flows through the membrane and the second fluid flows around the membrane and the membrane has an exterior surface and an interior surface and a plurality of protuberances for disrupting the boundary layer of one of the two fluids. The hollow fiber membrane is preferably used in a blood oxygenator.</p> |
