<p>The present invention is a cooperative advance warning system for use in warning oncoming traffic of unexpected upcoming road hazards. The system comprises a lamp mounted on a vehicle so that light emitted by the lamp is visible to drivers of oncoming vehicles, a switch accessible to the driver f or activating the lamp when the driver comes upon an unexpected road hazard, an d an electronic control unit for controlling the characteristics of the light emitted from the lamp.</p> |
