The invention relates to a pick-up baler for harvested agricultural produce, comprising a plunger (9) and a rotary conveyor presenting rakes (21, 22) which rotate about an axis of rotation of the rotor (18) and have rake axes (23) extending approximately parallel to said axis of rotation of the rotor (18). The rakes move the harvested produce through a supply channel (13) and can be pivoted about their rake axes (18) in a cam-controlled manner. At least one of said rakes acts as transporting rake (21) and the pivoting of at least one other rake, which serves as a supply rake (22), can be controlled in accordance with the filling level of the supply channel (13) in such a way that when a defined filling level is reached in the supply channel (13) said rake transports the harvested produce accumulated therein into a compression channel (11) via a compression channel inlet (12). The supply rake (22) is guided in a cam track (39) which can be moved from a transport position into a supply position, while the transporting rake (21) is guided in an immobile cam track (34).
