The lock (1) has a rotating claw (7) with a forked end (8) engaging a bolt or pin (32). The pin may push the latch into its engaged position against the force of a coil spring (15) connected to a latch (13). This has a corner (12) which acts as a pawl engaging one of three notches (9-10) in the lower surface of the claw. A rod (19) may be pulled down to remove a third latch piece (18) to release the latch for unlocking.
