<p>Shortening the lead-in thread length in hosiery circular knitting comprises moving the thread guide (1) towards the cylinders (4,5) and keeping the end thereof clamped by the thread cutter clamp (2) while the needles knit-in the thread, then moving the cutter to sever the thread (12) close to the needles. An independent claim also included for an apparatus for using the process as above.</p> |
