6-Arylpyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines, their use and pharmaceutical preparations based thereon

In the present invention there are disclosed 6-arylpyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidines of the general formula I, in which the individual general symbols are as specified in the Claims. The invented compounds are inhibitors of protein tyrosine kinase and they are therefore useful for treating cellular proliferation, particularly when treating atherosclerosis, restenosis and psoriasis, as well as bacterial infections. In the present invention there are further claimed the use of the above described compounds for aforementioned purposes and pharmaceutical preparations based thereon.
