The roof hatch is fitted inside a support frame which also incorporates electric lights which indicate the exit in emergencies. The lights can be in a light chain or are individual lights. Electric light bulbs or LEDs provide the illumination. The lights can illuminate the word 'Exit' and can flash for enhanced effect. The lights can be lit all the time or can be lit by the collision sensing circuit.
