Power equipment for use underwater, e.g. in the form of an electrical sub-station, incorporates heat exchange equipment for dissipation of heat to the surrounding water. The power equipment comprises a pressure vessel (110) having a chamber (111) in which at least one power device (113) is mounted. A further chamber (112) is at least partially filled with a fluid (120), is in heat conductive relationship with the power device and also has a wall (122) in contact with the water surrounding the power equipment.
