PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a large sweet area and to easily hit a ball high by lowering a centroid in a metallic iron club head. SOLUTION: This iron club head 1 is provided with a back cavity 3 at a head body 2 and forms a sole part 4 wide and thick. In this case, at the part 4 of the body 2, a bending recess part for fitting a sole weight member is formed at a place from the back face part 7A of a toe part side 6 to the back face part 7B of a heel part side 5 by way of a sole center part 8. In addition, at the inner wall surface part of the bending recess part, a recess part for fitting a wedge-shaped projection is formed and a sole weight member 10 formed in a bending shape matching with the bending recess part and forming a wedge- shaped projection part on its outer wall surface is force-fit-integrated.
