PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject insecticidal composition that can efficiently vaporize an insecticidal compound of thermally unstableness, and particularly is suitably useful indoors by using a specific compound and an insecticidal compound. SOLUTION: The objective insecticidal composition comprises (A) at least one selected from 2-[1-(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert.-pentylphenyl)ethyl]-4,6-di-tert.-pentyl- phenyl acrylate and tris(2,4-di-tert.-butylphenyl)phosphite and (B) an insecticidal compound that thermally decomposes in an air atmosphere lower than 300 deg.C. In a preferred embodiment, one of pyrethroids, particularly an ester thereof withα-ethynyl-4-fluoro-3-phepoxybenzyl alcohol is uses as an component B, the content of the component B is 0.1-10 wt.% and the amount of the component A is 0.2-3-fold that of the component B.
