PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality feeling of a product and safety by surely avoiding the forcible closing of a lid caused by its sudden lowering by gravity without damaging the effective utilization of a housing compartment space, damaging appearance or increasing costs. SOLUTION: In the arm structure of a lid 6 constructed in such a manner that the upper end of a lid arm 9 formed in a circular-arc shape around the pivotal shaft (horizontal pin 7c) of the lid 6 is pivotally fixed to one side of the car width direction of the lid 6 backside covering the housing compartment of an instrument panel 1 so as to allow its free opening/closing, and its lower end is fitted to a cylindrical arm guide 11 provided in one side face part 5b of the housing compartment 5, a pressure-contact leaf spring 15 (elastic member) is disposed in the inner side face of the arm guide 11 so as to apply required sliding resistance to the arm 9, an a bulged part 16 having a large bulging quantity to the leaf spring 15 side is formed in the proper position of the arm 9.
