PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hot-rolled product without surface defects from continuously cast piece. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing an alloy material by hot- rolling, the surface of a CC cast piece made through continuous casting is shot- blasted and then the cast piece is heated and hot-rolled. When necessary, it is heated after the shot blasting treatment and breakdown-rolled at the draft of 30-65%, and then the breakdown cast piece is heated again in a heating furnace and finish-rolled. This makes it possible to manufacture the hot-rolled material of alloy without surface defects.
