PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the serviceability of a washing machine efficiently removing dirt through the effective action of washing water without damaging or entwining the washing by keeping the washing from floating up by means of a partition body to thus prevent the washing water from splashing during washing process and achieve the washing process without damaging the washing and the washing machine, and making it easier to install and remove the partition body. SOLUTION: A partition body 16 is placed in such a way that the washing put in a spinning tub 3 freely rotationally provided within an outer cabinet 1 is covered therewith from above. The partition body 16 is made from a flexible material and diametrically formed into projecting and recessed parts at its peripheral edge, the projecting part capable of being locked to the top of the inside of the spinning tub 3.
