PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device which can easily remove scale dropped onto the sealing surface of a sealing body, in the sealing device for truck type heating furnace, in which the truck housing a material to be heated is charged from an opening part arranged on the side surface of the furnace body, and the opening part is closed with a cover and a gap developed between the furnace body and the truck is closed with the sealing body. SOLUTION: The gap 13 is extended along the charging direction of the truck 3 and opened downward. Then, this sealing device is constituted of an arm 21 to which the sealing body 19 is fitted and which is freely swung with the supporting point at the furnace body 1 side as the center and an opening/ closing driving means 27, 29, 25 for opening/closing the gap 13 with the sealing body 19 by swinging this arm 21.
