PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food composition capable of adding an effective amount of calcium to a food, excellent in shelf life and ingestion efficiency and useful for prevention of osteoporosis, etc., by including sesame seed coat separated by sesame seed. SOLUTION: This food composition comprises pulverized sesame seed coat separated from sesame seed coat. Further, it is preferable that the food composition is compounded to prepare calcium-supplying food. The food composition is produced by peeling seed coat from 1 kg roasted sesame seed by roll mill and then fractionating the seed coat according to specific gravity by a wind force sorter and collecting a fraction having the light specific gravity to provide 220 g sesame seed coat. |
