PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device which can transmit the rotation in both directions of a driving shaft to the side of a driven shaft, and is high in the degree of freedom when a driving force transmitting system is formed up. SOLUTION: In this clutch device, a driving ring 2 is fixed to a driving shaft 1, and a driven sleeve 4 is fixed to a driven shaft 3. A coil shaped clutch spring 5 is fitted in a driven sleeve 4, and a clutch ring 6 is inserted into the driving ring 2. When the driving shaft 1 is rotated normally and reversely, the driving ring 2 abuts against the arm parts 5a and 5b of the clutch spring 5 in such a way as to be brought into a condition allowing the clutch spring 5 to be wound around and fastened to the driven sleeve 4, so that torque in both the directions of rotation is thereby transmitted to the driven shaft side. Besides, the employment of the clutch spring 5 enables the over-running driving of the driven shaft 3 to be performed.
